ANF official, FC soldier martyred in Lakki attacks

LAKKI MARWAT: Two law enforcement personnel were martyred in separate gun attacks here on Monday.

Police said that unknown assailants kidnapped an official of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) from the Abdulkhel area within the limits of Darra Pezu police station early in the morning.

They said that the kidnappers shifted him to the Shah Hasankhel area, where they killed him. The police said that residents and relatives rushed to the venue and transported the body to the Government City Hospital.

Separately, an FC soldier lost his life in a terrorist attack in the Shadikhel area of Bittani subdivision, they said.

They said that unknown gunmen barged into the house of soldier Shakeel Khan and sprayed him with bullets.

The soldier received critical injuries and died on the spot, they said, adding that the martyred official had come to his village on leave. The police said that the attackers fled the place after the incident.
