Sweden’s government has said that the country might need to ration fuel in the coming months as the Middle East war has a “significant impact” on the country’s economy, AFP reports.
“We’re not planning right now for any rationing. But we are prepared for that possibility, and in such case we will provide information well in advance,” Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson says at a press conference.
He says the effects of the US-Israel war on Iran on the Swedish economy had worsened “from ‘limited impact’ to ‘significant impact’”.
