RAWALPINDI: A bus hostess was allegedly raped by a man in a hotel in the Pirwadhai area of Rawalpindi.

The victim, in an FIR registered with the Pirwadhai police, said she belongs to Layyah district and works as a bus hostess for various companies.

She said she had gone to Layyah for vacation. On Sunday night, she left for Rawalpindi by bus and, due to a road closure, got off at Tarnol.

She further said the suspect offered her for a lift and dropped her off at a hotel in Pirwadhai in car, and left the scene. Exhausted, she booked a hotel room to rest and fell asleep.

She said that after a while, there was a knock on the door. When she opened it, she found the suspect standing outside, who suddenly entered the room, covered her mouth and made her unconscious.

In the state of unconsciousness, he raped her and escaped.

She claimed that she also found nail injuries on her body after she regained her consciousness.

The police registered a case on Monday and started an investigation; however, the suspect had not been arrested as yet.
