Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will make an official visit to London this week for talks on the wars in Iran and Ukraine, Reuters quoted a Turkish diplomatic source as saying, adding that he will also discuss cooperation between the Nato allies.
Fidan’s visit comes as the British government said military planners from more than 30 countries would hold two-day talks in London from today to advance a mission to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
More than a dozen countries said last week they were willing to join an international mission, led by Britain and France, to protect shipping in the strait when conditions permit. Fidan has warned of difficulties with such a mission.
