Minister suspends teacher

PESHAWAR, June 29: The NWFP Minister for Education, Maulana Fazal-i-Haqqani, has ordered suspension of a primary school teacher for making direct approach to the minister for transfer during the tea break of budget session.

Noor Habib, resident of District Hangu, was trying to pressurise the education minister through an MPA for his transfer.

The minister expressed dismay over the attitude of the teacher and suspended him on the spot.

He warned that in future no teacher should approach the minister for transfer advising that they should focus on their prime duty of teaching students instead of roaming around minister’s office for transfer.—APP
