Answering a question on a possible new round of talks with the US, Iran’s deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh says that cannot happen until the two sides agree on a shared framework.
“Until we agree on the framework we cannot set the date,” Al Jazeera quotes Khatibzadeh as saying.
He empahsised that whatever Iran agrees to in negotiations must preserve its rights under international law.
“Iran will not accept to be an exception from international law” or “abandon its rights”, he said.
