ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has informed the Islamabad High Court that it has no objection to removing the name of TikToker and YouTuber Rajab Butt from the travel ban list.

In a written response submitted before the court, the agency stated that the accused, also identified as Rajab Ali, has joined the ongoing inquiry. Consequently, the NCCIA conveyed that it does not oppose the removal of his name from the Passport Control List (PCL).

According to the reply, the Additional Director of NCCIA’s Lahore Zone has already sent a formal communication to the Director Operations, recommending the removal of Rajab Ali’s name from the PCL.

The agency informed the court that Rajab Ali’s name had been placed on the PCL on August 7, 2025, in connection with an inquiry into alleged dissemination of defamatory content on social media platforms.

The NCCIA further stated that proceedings are underway against the accused under Section 11 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and Section 298-A of the Pakistan Penal Code.
