The UN agency for the protection of children has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in Lebanon, saying it comes after weeks of “immense suffering”.
“Over the past 46 days, children have paid a devastating price,” Unicef says on X. “This ceasefire must hold — and must be fully respected.”
