Iran’s former foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki has thanked Pakistan for its support for Iran in a meeting with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The two met at the sidelines of the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Istanbul, the NA said in a post on X.
“During the meeting, Mottaki warmly hugged and thanked speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for Pakistan’s unwavering support to Iran in these testing times,” the NA said.
“Mottaki observed that while time would pass, the Iranian nation would never forget the role of its Pakistani brothers and sisters, especially Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Defence Forces (and Chief of Army Staff) Field Marshal Asim Munir”.
