KARACHI, June 29: Seven ships carrying sugar, urea and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Kota Wajar, Thor Captain, Y.M.Sun and Hyundai Highway to unload and load containers and Jo Birk to load ethanol were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships which departed included APL Dalian, Jade Trader, Carolina, Kota Wangsa, Hyderabad, Florida and Al-Marwah, while MOL Silver Fern, Mar Calabria and Orident Independence are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where a total tonnage of 47,454 tons comprising 16,489 tons of export cargo and 30,965 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Bolan, with 14,500 tons of sugar, Antonis, with 35,500 tons of urea, Captain Lefteris, with 32,996 tons of DAP fertiliser, Shalamar, with crude oil, Global Progress, Oel Patrio, with containers and Atlantic Forest, with general cargo.
