KARACHI, June 29: Four ships to load and offload containers, sugar and chemicals were allotted berths at QICT, MPT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships to load rice and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 67pc as eight ships were occupying berths to load and offload containers, diesel oil, chemicals, sugar and canola seeds.

A cargo volume of 79,012 tons comprising 60,431 tons of import cargo and 18,581 tons of export cargo was handled.
