KARACHI, June 29: Representatives of market associations and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will hold a meeting with Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat ul Ibad Khan on July 4, in which measures to overcome persistent electricity crisis, schedule of load-shedding in various areas and its proper implementation and inspections under Shop Act would be discussed.

sThis was stated by KCCI president, Haroon Farooki while presiding over a meeting of the market representatives.

He asked the representatives of the market associations to provide details of electricity consumption and capacity of the generators installed in their respective markets to the KCCI so that the same could be provided to the Sindh government.

He added that the market associations should abide by their commitments made with Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on June 22, regarding voluntarily reduction in power consumption by 50 per cent during 8:00pm to 9:00pm and preparation of list of markets and shops which would remain open after 9:00pm using their own generators.
