Israeli air strikes have killed four paramedics and injured six others in a “triple-tap” strike in southern Lebanon today, Al Jazeera reports citing the Lebanese National News Agency.

The paramedics were on an emergency mission trying to rescue wounded people from an airstrike in the town of Mayfadoun, close to Nabatieh. The first ambulance reportedly arrived and was hit, the second arrived and was also hit, and the third was struck again.

The Lebanese health ministry has confirmed three paramedic teams were attacked, one after the other.

It adds this was a “flagrant crime, which reflects the Israeli enemy’s determination to prevent paramedics from performing their life-saving work by any means.”
