Hezbollah spokesman and parliamentarian Ibrahim Mousawi has said that Iranian and regional efforts could lead to a ceasefire in Lebanon “soon,” Al Jazeera reports.
Additionally, two unnamed senior Lebanese officials confirmed that efforts were underway for a ceasefire in Lebanon, but did not have details on when it would begin or how long it would last.
The officials both said it was likely the ceasefire’s duration would be linked to how long a truce between the US and Iran holds.
