Democrats in the US Senate are planning to hold another vote today “to stop Trump’s unjustified war in Iran”, Al Jazeera reports.
Senator Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat from Illinois who filed the War Powers Resolution, said Trump’s war of choice was “putting American lives at even further risk abroad and sending prices skyrocketing for Americans at home”.
She said the Senate “must fulfil its constitutional duty and vote to stop it immediately, before our economy takes yet another hit and more lives are lost”.
