Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten has hailed the direct talks held between Israel and Lebanon, calling for the latter to be included in the ongoing ceasefire between the US and Iran.
“Together with international partners, the Netherlands calls for the inclusion of Lebanon in the regional de-escalation efforts and welcome the engagement of Israel and Lebanon toward a lasting political solution,” he says on X.
Jetten has shared a post from Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen, who also welcomed today’s talks, and called on all parties to “continue this diplomatic effort to bring lasting security for Israel, Lebanon, and the broader region”.
