Israeli Army Chief Eyal Zamir has said that all areas south of Lebanon’s Litani River have been turned into an “operational zone” to fight Hezbollah, reports Al Jazeera.
A statement issued by the military said the army chief met with troops positioned in southern Lebanon’s Ras al Bayada area.
Zamir said Israeli forces are working to “suppress and reduce high-trajectory fire from Lebanon,” which will “take time”, the statement said.
