All-round show by Saad

LAHORE, June 26: An excellent all-round performance by Saad Nasim enabled Government Muslim Model High School to thrash Government Comprehensive High School by 171 runs in the PCB Lahore Region Inter-school cricket championship on Monday.

Saad hit 127-ball 141 with 12 fours and one six as Model High School piled up 259 all out in 43.4 overs.

Saad then excelled with the leather taking six wickets for only 12 runs to bowl out Comprehensive School for a meagre total of 88 in 24.1 overs.

An unbeaten double-century by Fakhar Abbas helped Government Central Model School, Rattigan to inflict a 233-run defeat over Garrison Academy, Lahore Cantt.

Fakhar struck 149-ball 201 with the aid of 24 boundaries and one six as the winners earned a formidable total of 339-6 in 45 overs.

In reply, Garrison Academy were all out for 106 in 25 overs with Zafar Gohar taking four wickets for seven runs.
