Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in pursuing “dialogue and diplomacy towards peace and stability in the region” amid the Middle East war, according to the Foreign Office (FO).
The FO says that Bahrain’s top diplomat made the remarks in a phone call with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, where they discussed the latest regional developments.
“DPM/FM underscored the urgent need for de-escalation and emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy,” the FO has said on X. “He highlighted the Pakistan–China Five-Point Initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and the Gulf region.”
The pair also exchanged views on multilateral efforts for peace, including at the United Nations Security Council, and agreed to remain in close contact.
