Iran’s Fars news agency reports that Tehran has turned down a proposal for a 48-hour ceasefire from the US.
Citing a source, Fars reports that the proposal was conveyed to Iran through “one of the friendly countries”.
“Assessments indicate that this proposal was made after the escalation of the crisis in the region and the emergence of serious problems for US military forces, following a miscalculation of the military capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the outlet adds.
Fars says Tehran’s response was not in writing, but rather on the ground — through the continuation of heavy attacks”.
