Finnish President Alexander Stubb says on X that he discussed the situation in the Middle East with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, noting that a ceasefire and a diplomatic solution are “urgently needed”.
“I emphasised the need to end the strikes on neighbouring countries and restore freedom of navigation in the Strait [of] Hormuz,” Stubb adds. “Despite the disagreements, it is important to maintain dialogue.”
