Washington’s statements on talks ‘cannot be trusted’, Iranian envoy says

The US government’s statements about talks cannot be trusted, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali has said in an interview with Russian state-owned news agency TASS.

“It’s typical of the Trump administration to betray diplomacy and negotiations,” he has noted, when asked if Tehran and Washington were expected to hold talks in Islamabad.
