An airstrike in Tehran appeared to have struck the US Embassy compound, which has been under the control of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard since the 1979 hostage crisis, AP reports.
Witnesses said buildings outside the large compound had their windows blown out, and it appears the strike occurred inside the walled facility.
