GUJRAT: The Punjab government has transferred Sub Registrar Gujrat tehsil Kashif Ahmed on Monday and posted Umar Mehmood Baryar in his place.

This has been the third transfer of Gujrat Sub Registrar in the last couple of months.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab Board of Revenue BoR, Tehsildar Kashif has been directed to report to the BoR and Tehsildar Multan (Sadar) Umar Baryar has been transferred and posted as Gujrat Tehaildar.

Earlier in January last Tehsildar Amir Adnan Gondal was transferred after three years and his successor was posted after a couple of weeks who too was transferred within a few days and then Tehsildar Kashif was posted in February and now he too is transferred.

Official sources said that the fresh transfer had been made on the interference of a senior figure of ruling coalition partner PML-Q following the public complaints of alleged slackness in transactions of registration deeds in tehsil registration office. They said that the ratio of pendency of registration deeds had been increasing for the last couple of months.
