US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said Washington will not allow Iran to control the Strait of Hormuz and create a toll system for the passage of ships.
“Iran is making threats about controlling the Strait of Hormuz and creating a tolling system. That’s not going to be allowed to happen,” Rubio has said in a video shared by the US State Department to ABC News.
“There is a way forward here to achieve our objectives in a matter of weeks, not months,” it said.
