ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a session of the National Assembly on March 30 (today) at 5:00pm at the Parliament House.

The session has been convened under Article 54(1) of the Constitution, said a news release issued by the National Assembly Secretariat.

The upcoming sitting will be the 26th session of the current National Assembly and the second session of its third parliamentary year.

According to the National Assembly’s agenda for Monday, of the NA session four bills will be introduced including the Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2026 by Minister for Power Awais Leghari, the Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2026 by Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, a bill further to amend the Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation Act, 2005 by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power (Amendment) Bill, 2026 by Power Minister Awais Leghari and the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) (Amendment) Bill, 2025 by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.Later, the finance minister will lay before the house report of Biannual Monitoring of the Implementation of 7th NFC Award for the period of Jan-June 2023, July-Dec 2023 and Jan-June 2024; fiscal policy statement Jan 2026 and debt policy statement 2026 and performance monitoring report for the year 2024-25
