Kuwait’s spokesperson for the General Fire Force says that it is currently putting out a fire at Kuwait Airport caused by “hostile” drones, Al Jazeera reports.

“We are dealing, with the support of Army Firefighting, the National Guard, and Oil, with a fire in a fuel tank at Kuwait Airport targeted by hostile drones,” said Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Ghareeb, in a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency.

During a news conference, he confirmed the “handling of four fires in different locations that broke out as a result of shrapnel falling”.

Al-Ghareeb also said that 82 such incidents had occurred in the country “since the beginning of the sinful Iranian aggression”.
