Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Pakistan’s solidarity to Doha amid the Middle East war, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Exchanging Eid greetings, the premier expressed concern over ongoing hostilities in the region and condemned attacks against Qatar and Gulf countries.

“While appreciating Qatar’s remarkable restraint in the wake of the ongoing hostilities, the prime minister apprised His Highness the Amir of Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and its peace efforts,” the PMO said.

“He emphasised that Pakistan had consistently called on all parties to de-escalate and resolve their differences through dialogue and diplomacy.”
