Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has convened a two-day meeting of the Central Majlis-e-Shura of the party to discuss the Middle East situation as well as the prevailing political situation in the country.

JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri, in a statement, said that the meeting would be held on April 4 and 5 at Mufti Mahmood Centre in Peshawar.

The meeting will determine the party’s future political direction, the JUI-F spokesperson said. Members of the Central Majlis-e-Shura from across the country will attend the meeting.

The overall performance of the government and key public issues will be discussed during the meeting, according to the JUI spokesperson.

The situation in the Middle East and the impact of the US-Israel war on the region will also be reviewed, said Ghauri.
