Subsidy on mango export

ISLAMABAD, June 24: The government has announced a package of subsidy for increasing the export of mangoes to EU countries that will be effective on export proceeds from July 1.

An official announcement here on Saturday said that it was decided in a meeting headed by Secretary Agriculture M. Ismail Qureshi to give a subsidy of Rs15 per kg by air and Rs10 per kg by sea on export of mangoes to Europe only.

The procedures of payment would be explained in separate advertisements by the Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Board (PHDEB) and the agriculture ministry. Detail requirements, document for claiming this support would be communicated through the media later on, added the announcement.
