Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus, has congratulated Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Nowruz and said, “Iran will overcome challenges with courage,” Al Jazeera reports.

Lukashenko has made the remrks in a statement carried by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.

“At the moment of the New Year, Iran continues to courageously fight difficult external challenges,” he says.

Lukashenko says he is “confident that the wise people of Iran, relying on their great experience gained over centuries, will overcome all difficulties with courage and will preserve their right to continue on the chosen path of independence and sovereignty”.
