QUETTA: Senate Deputy Chairman Syedal Khan Nasar on Sunday praised Pakistan’s political and military leadership for their efforts to restore peace in the Middle East, highlighting the country’s serious and effective initiatives aimed at promoting regional stability.

Speaking at an Iftar dinner, hosted by Provincial Minister of Education Ms Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Nasar specifically praised PM Shehbaz and the Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir’s diplomatic and practical initiatives.

“Pakistan is playing a constructive role not only at the national level but also on the international stage to help de-escalate tensions and encourage peaceful resolution of conflicts in the Middle East,” Nasar said.

Nasar emphasised a diplomatic approach over military conflict. “Disputes and differences cannot be resolved through war but through dialogue and diplomacy,” he said, adding that negotiations produce “positive outcomes not only for the region but also for the global economy”.
