Death sentence

LAKKI MARWAT, June 22: District and Sessions Judge Amir Gulab Khan sentenced a murder convict to death on Thursday. The convict, Baqi Jan, and his accomplice Amir Jan had killed Kamal Khan in Gandi Khankhel village over old enmity two years ago.

Police had arrested Baqi but failed to arrest Amir.

The judge awarded Baqi capital punishment with a fine of Rs100,000 to be paid to the heirs of the deceased. Amir has been declared absconder.—Correspondent
