HYDERABAD, June 22: The director building control, HDA, notified on Wednesday that District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil had ordered a campaign to remove building material and debris from the main roads of the Latifabad taluka.

He said notices in this regard were being issued to building owners and contractors to remove the building material and debris within stipulated time.

He warned that after the expiry of the notice period, action would be taken under the law concerned.

UNIVERSITY: Sindh University Vice-chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui here on Wednesday paid surprise visits to various institutes and colleges to inspect the arrangements for the ongoing semester examinations.

He visited the varsity affiliated institutes, including the Institute of Modern Sciences and Arts Hyderabad (IMSA), College of Modern Sciences (CMS) and Hyderabad Institute of Arts, Science and Technology (HIAST).

He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and discipline at the examination centres.

DEAN APPOINTED: The Sindh University registrar notified on Wednesday that the governor, who is also the chancellor of universities of Sindh, had appointed Dr Abdullah Dayo dean of the faculty of pharmacy, with immediate effect for three years.
