US Central Command (Centcom) says it has lost a KC-135 refuelling aircraft in “friendly airspace” during its war on Iran, and rescue efforts are ongoing, reports Al Jazeera.
Two aircraft were involved in the incident, and one went down in western Iraq, while the other landed safely, Al Jazeera quoted Centcom as saying.
“This was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire,” Centcom said in a statement.
