KARACHI, June 21: Bandits took away at least 70 cellphones and 28 vehicles from different parts of the city on Wednesday. Police sources said as many as 39 cellphones were snatched at gunpoint in different parts of the city while 26 cellphones were reported stolen on Wednesday. At least five mobile phones were reported missing.

Three cars were snatched at gunpoint and 10 were stolen in different parts of the city.

Nine motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint and six were stolen in different parts of the city on Wednesday, police sources said.

Police claimed recovery of six motorcycles on Wednesday.

ACCIDENT: A 40-year-old woman died in a road accident in New Karachi on Wednesday.

Police said Sajjada was going with her son on a motorcycle when a speeding car knocked them down.

Police said the woman suffered head injuries after falling on the road. She was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
