SHIKARPUR, June 20: Speakers at a two-day training workshop which concluded on Tuesday appealed to the government to take serious notice of human rights violations and provide legal protection to the life, honour and property of people.

The workshop on “Gender Sensitisation” was organized by Gender Justice under Musalihat Anjuman Project in collaboration with Sindh Development Society (SDS), Sindh Agriculture Forestry Workers Coordinating Organisation (SAFWCO) and Aurat Foundation (AF).

Lala Hassan Pathan (AF), Ghaffar Malik (SDS), Zakir Shoaib (UNDP), Allah Warayo Jakhro (councillor), Bashir G Abro (SAFWCO), Ms Farah, Manzoor Noonari, Mujahid Bhutto and Iqbal Detho delivered lectures on different aspects of gender sensitisation and violence against women.—BoC
