Carla faces Maria in final

ISLAMABAD, June 19: Carla Khan and Maria Toor strolled into the final of the National Women's Squash Championship in Bhurban on Monday with quick semi-final victories.

The England-based Carla knocked out Misbah Rani 9-3, 9-0, 9-3 in only 14 minutes while Maria, of Wapda downed Aliya Sarfraz 9-0, 9-0, 9-5.

Given a bye in the first round, Carla's quarterfinal was also a cakewalk as she did not drop a single point in routing Sindh's Sumera Haq 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 in just 10 minutes.

Maria's quarter-final was also one-sided, Mehwish Hanif being shown the door 9-1, 9-1, 9-3 inside 20 minutes.

The final of the tournament is to be played on Tuesday at 4.00pm.

Semi-finals: Carla Khan bt Misbah Rani 9-3, 9-0, 9-3, Maria Toor bt Aliya Sarfraz 9-0, 9-0, 9-5.
