TOBA TEK SINGH: Police claimed to have solved the murder of a Saudi-returned man, who was killed a few days ago in Gojra Chak 245-GB, and arrested his wife for the murder.

District police spokesperson said on Tuesday that based on evidence, the Gojra Saddar police took the wife of deceased Farrukh Javed and his neighbour, Usman Sabir, into custody.

He claimed that during the initial investigation, his wife confessed that she had relations with Usman and they wanted to marry each other. She claimed that they planned the murder of Farrukh and Usman shot him dead. She told the family and locals that unidentified persons attacked and killed her husband.

The Gojra Saddar police also claimed to have recovered the murder weapon, a pistol, from the possession of the accused and registered a separate case against him for possession of an illegal weapon.

BOOKED: A 14-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped by five youths in the Bhutto Colony locality of Mandi Faizabad in Nankana Sahib district.

The complainant claimed in her FIR, registered by the Faizabad police, that her son N was lured by the five accused to an under construction house where they raped him. She claimed that her son had told her that four of the accused had been repeatedly raping him at the same place.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the accused persons.

ENCOUNTER: The Jaranwala Saddar police claimed to have arrested on Tuesday an alleged robber in injured condition after an encounter.

Police claimed that arrested accused Muhammad Maqsood was involved in more than 40 robberies and was being transported to recover looted valuables on his indication.

Police claimed that when the police van reached near Jhok Mor Link Road, three outlaws riding on two motorcycles attacked the van and snatched Maqsood after opening indiscriminate fire. More police force led by SHO Ijaz Ahmad arrived there and chased them.

Police claimed that near the Jawaddi Mor, the accused once again opened fire, after which police found Maqsood injured by the firing of his accomplices.

Police said the attackers managed to escape and the injured accused was shifted to the Jaranwala THQ Hospital.

DEATH SENTENCE: Gojra Additional District and Sessions Judge Abbas Ali Warraich sentenced a murder convict to death and pay Rs800,000 as compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased.

According to details, convict Muhammad Akram of Chak 358 JB had shot dead his brother Muhammad Ayub over an irrigation water dispute. The Gojra Saddar police had registered a case and arrested the convict two years ago.

Meanwhile, Jaranwala Additional District and Sessions Judge Saqib Farooq Awan handed down the death sentence to two double murder case convicts.

The court also sentenced convicts Muhammad Ashraf and Muhammad Junaid to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs1 million each. Court awarded life imprisonment twice and a fine of Rs1 million to their co-accused Muhammad Afzal.

The all three convicts had shot dead two persons Rashid Ali and Shahid Farooq on July 7, 2020, in a dispute over the construction of a mosque in Chak 93 GB in Jaranwala tehsil.

ARRESTED: The alleged killer of a Parco security guard has been traced and arrested by the Millat Town police in Faisalabad on Tuesday.

On Feb 15 in cross firing between petrol thieves and a security guard near Chak 196-RB Ghona in Faisalabad, a thief and a Parco guard Muhammad Nawaz were killed.

Police claimed to succeed in tracing the killer identified as Mudassar through geofencing and modern technology and arrested him.

ELECTROCUTED: A teenager was electrocuted on Tuesday in Shadab Colony locality on Jhang Road in Faisalabad.

The Jhang Bazar police claimed that deceased Salman Saleem Maseeh (13), who was visiting his uncle, was carrying an iron rod when it touched an 11kv electricity line passing over the roof of the house. As a result, he received an electric shock and died instantly.

However, there were reports that the deceased was flying a kite and his hand touched the electric wires which caused his death.
