GWADAR: Transporters running buses and coaches between Makran and Karachi have announced that they will continue their protest until the acceptance of their demands, as the strike entered the fifth consecutive day.

The prolonged strike has caused difficulties to the intending travellers, struck in the port cities of Karachi and Gwadar.

On Sunday, the protesting Makran transporters in a meeting discussed issues being faced during their inter-provincial travel and blamed Pakistan Coast Guards for adding to their problems.

The meeting was informed that the strike started due the “wrong attitude” of the personnel of Coast Guards and other law enforcement agencies. The transporters warned that if their demands were not accepted, they would continue their strike for an indefinite period.
