NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 16: The Motorway police found three missing children near Halani on National Highway and sent them back to their parents in Rawat, Rawalpindi on Friday. The children, Dilpazeer Khan son of Ghous-ur-Rehman, Abdullah Khan; son of Ghulam Hussain; and Umer Khan son of Hayat Khan, had been walking from Karachi on National Highway for 12 days when motorway police SPO Ghulam Hussain and PO Ghulam Yasin found them near Halani.

Inamul Haq, PRO to DIG motorway police, said that the children told police that an identified man had talked them into fleeing their homes after stealing money with the promise that he would take them to Karachi and show them seaside and parks.

The children stole money from their homes and came

to the man who took them to Karachi, he said.

The man left the children at a park after depriving them of all the money they had, said the spokesman. The children went to the railway station and boarded a train but were made to disembark by police, he said.

Motorway police contacted the children’s parents and made arrangements for sending them home in the afternoon on Friday.

The motorway police had earlier recovered 26 children and sent them to their homes.
