RAWALPINDI: Four people sustained burn injuries a gas leak fire that erupted in a hotel located near Mareer Chowk on Monday.

According to emergency service Rescue 1122, the fire erupted when a match stick was shown to a gas stove in the kitchen of the hotel.

Shortly after the blaze started at about 12.45 pm, two fire vehicles and an ambulance reached the scene and shifted the burn victims to hospital after the first aid.

The burn victims were identified as Safdar Abbas, 45, Niaz Ahmed, 48, Abdul Majeed, 32, and Jamsheed, 23. The injured were shifted to the Holy Family Hospital where they were stated to be in stable condition as they were having 10 per cent burns.
