KARACHI, June 14: Six ships carrying steel and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Kota Waris, Bunga Kenari, Corn Thaikos and APL Osaka to unload and load containers and Shujaa-3 to offload phosphate were berthed.

Only one tanker, Shalamar departed, while Al-Fatah, APL Osaka, Persepolis and Kota Waris are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity on the other hand was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.104m tons was handled comprising 8,603 tons of export cargo and 95,505 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Thursday: PONL Buenos Aires, Eric G. Gibsin, Global Prosperity, Kota Teraju, with containers, Giorgos-B, with steel, and Kao Heng Men, with project cargo.
