QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that Quetta has witnessed a 70 per cent decline in crime over the past two months, attributing the improvement to effective government policies and the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies.
He described the reduction as clear evidence that the provincial government’s security strategy is moving in the right direction.
The chief minister emphasised that modern technology is being actively deployed to safeguard citizens’ lives and property, revealing that 97pc of surveillance cameras under the Quetta Safe City Project were restored and made fully operational, significantly strengthening the city’s monitoring system and helping prevent criminal activity.
CM Bugti said the provincial government was pursuing coordinated and effective measures to improve peace and security across Balochistan in a gradual yet sustainable manner.
