JACOBABAD, June 12: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that bomb blasts in Balochistan are linked to political issues and said these acts will come to an end as soon as political rapprochement is achieved.

He was talking to reporters on Monday at Rojhan Jamali after offering condolences with Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on the death of his cousin Abdul Ghaffar Khan Jamali.

The minister claimed that there were no adverse effects of the bomb blasts on the functioning of railways and added that since he had taken over the charge of railways, its income had doubled.

He said the number of trains operating in the country had also been increased to benefit the common man.

A notification had been issued to facilitate 80 per cent concession to journalists in railway fares, the minister.

Balochistan Governor Owais Ghani, Jafarabad Zila Nazim Sardar Yar Mohammad Jamali, Khan Mohammad Jamali and Umer Khan Jamali were also present on the occasion.
