KARACHI, June 12: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui on Monday ordered all TPOs of the province to take action against gambling and narcotic dens in their respective areas and arrest those patronising them.

Taking cognisance of news published in a section of press about gambling and narcotic dens, he said it was imperative to nab and punish the elements, who were running and patronising them, to root out this menace from society.

The home minister taking notice of another report asked police officers and personnel to avoid harassing people and implicating them in false cases. He directed high police officials to keep a vigilant eye on those officers and personnel who were bringing bad name to the department. He warned that strict departmental action would be taken against such officers and personnel.–PPI
