RAWALPINDI: A 13-year-old girl was raped several times and subjected to torture allegedly by her employer in Sadiqabad area, police said.

A relative of the victim lodged an FIR with the police saying that since the father of the girl had died and her mother gotten a second marriage, she had been living with her.

The complainant said she left the girl with a couple for a salary of Rs6000 per month and providing her education and training. The complainant said she often used to talk to the girl on the phone.

However, for about five months, the wife of her employer had not allowed the girl to talk to her. Even when she came to Rawalpindi on December 15, she was not allowed to meet the girl. Somehow, she managed to take the girl with her to her village where it transpired that the girl was pregnant.

The victim told the complainant that she was subjected to rape several times allegedly by her employer who used to give her sleeping pills. The girl also alleged that she was tortured. The police registered the case and launched an investigation.

Meanwhile, a man was killed and eight others were injured in a clash between two rival groups in the Rawat police station area on Tuesday night.

The body was sent for postmortem while the injured were shifted to hospital. The police have taken six people into custody.
