IUB to start MBA classes

BAHAWALPUR, June 7: The Islamia University Bahawalpur will introduce MBA (banking and finance) classes from the next academic session, beginning from Sept, 2006.

The decision was taken by the board of studies, department of management sciences, at its meeting held here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Bilal A Khan.

The introduction of banking and finance classes will meet the longstanding demand of students of the southern Punjab. In addition, this programme will also help develop banking skills among youths of this area.

The meeting was participated in by Prof Dr Abdul Wahab of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi; Prof Dr Muhammad Zafarullah, Institute of Business Administration director, BZU, Multan; and others.
