KARACHI, June 7: Police on late Tuesday night arrested a man for allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran in Shah Faisal Colony. Shahzad Samiullah, 28, was arrested on Tuesday after a mob turned violent and tried to attack him in Green Town.

“The suspect appeared to be suffering from some mental illness”, the area TPO said.

His parents came to visit him in lockup, saying he is abnormal, and they also produced medical record suggesting his abnormal mental condition, police said.
