KARACHI, June 6: Doctors have cleared skipper Mohammad Saqlain and Ghazanfar Ali for Azlan Shah Cup hockey to be played at Kuala Lumpur from June 18 to 25, chief coach and manager Asif Bajwa said on Tuesday.

Saqlain and Ghazanfar were included in the provincial 20-member squad subject to fitness. Saqlain was suffering from eye infection while Ghazanfar broke his hand during the World Cup qualifying rounds in China in April.

Asif said skin specialist Dr. Lodhi examined Saqlain of allergy which he developed ten days ago.

Dr. Waqar Saleem claimed that Ghazanfar had fully recovered from his hand fracture. Ghazanfar trained with the team on Monday after going through lighting work out.

However, he said inclusion of two players will be decided by selectors after consulting secretary of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Brig. (Retd) Musarratullah Khan.
